Together
Beth Cash
Grandfather, grandmother, grandson snuggle
in the king size bed.
His small body is warm and wriggly.
I feel his breath on my neck
and see his white teeth
as he traces a giraffe
on my nightgown.
Forty-three years
of decisions
to stay or go
have been
for this moment.
