A Month of Difference
Cleo Griffith

Picture Tinkerbell a hundred times over —
a pasture full of flutters and lights —
orange poppies are like that in spring,
fairy land on the banks of ordinary earth,
gleams of silk spread upon spiky green carpet,
magic-like, a different color scheme
than a month ago. Tremendous show
of nature’s wonders, laced here and there
with lupine color of mother’s eyes.

Cleo Griffith lives in the poetry-rich California Central Valley. She is Vice-President of the Modesto Chapter of the National League of American PenWomen and a member of the Editorial Board of
